National Federation of the Blind of Idaho - Kids and Parents Workshop

You are cordially invited (RSVPs needed!): I am very excited about the upcoming Kids and Parents workshops that will be taking place as part of the NFB of Idaho State Convention at the Holiday Inn in Boise on March 22nd, and would like to invite you all to attend. We have some fabulous activities arranged for the kids that will take place from 2 pm until 5 pm on Friday March 22nd. The theme is “Telling Your Story” and the activities include A storytelling activity led by Leta Neustaedter, where, using games , the kids will get to learn how to present who they are and what is important to them. An art activity, led by Brendan Patrick, where kids will express themselves through an art medium. A music activity led by Jerry Simon, where kids will work as a group, as part of a community to express something beautiful. All our presenters are talented and creative in their field. The kids will have a chance on Saturday during convention to present what we learned and created. While the kids are involved in these activities there is a concurrent parent workshop where parents will hear from other parents and participate in a workshop on how to communicate the things that matter. There will be opportunities to ask questions and share stories. Attached is a form that you need to fill out and return if you wish to attend. The workshops are part of our State Convention and you are welcome to join us for some or all of the Convention which starts on Thursday March 21 with an evening reception and goes through Saturday March 23, finishing with our banquet.
