Garden City Proposed Sign Ordinance In June of 2008 a citizen advisory committee was initiated to review Garden City’s sign ordinance. The committee put a great deal of work into generating a thoughtful and thorough proposal to revise the ordinance for this very complicated issue. In March of 2009 a draft proposal was brought to the public. Many of Garden City businesses and local sign companies indicated that they would like further involvement as the ordinance progressed. To remedy this feedback, Garden City Mayor and Council worked with Garden City Chamber of Commerce to identify a second sign committee that may be able to encompass these requests.
